Both beautiful and practical, upright memorials possess a distinguished presence. Many families and individuals prefer uprights because they tend to have a larger inscription surface.

Usually uprights are higher and wider than they are deep, but variations in these proportions are common as are sizes in general. Our standard upright model shapes are serpentine, flat and oval.

Sunset’s upright memorials are securely mounted to a granite base at least 4” thick. Cemeteries now install memorials on foundations, providing further stability and security.
